Valley Center Western Days

There has been some dispute over the years as to how old Western Days actually is.

Here is the true history:
Western Days traces its roots to 1950 when it was called Valley Center Country Fair.
In 1961, the name was changed to Western Week.
In 1968, the name was changed to Western Days & Country Fair.
In 1970, the first parade was held.
In 1980, the name Western Days was adopted.

In 2001, a rodeo was added to Western Days*, now named Valley Center Stampede.
